Five Things We Loved vs Ashford United:
1) Jaiden Chang:
Having to fill in at full-back for Jean-Baptiste Fischer who had to be withdrawn early on, Jaiden quickly had to pick up the pace of the game with his side 1-0 down, he soon made an impact in a position unfamiliar with him.
2) “Harvey again ole ole ole”:
Harvey Smith was once again on the score-sheet having scored five times already this season.
3) Jordan Greenidge on a run:
Whilst Jordan and Harvey are both competing for that number 9 shirt, Jordan’s four goals in three games proves that there is healthy competition within the squad which is clearly bringing out the best of both men.
4) Captain Bags:
A goal from the skipper is a rarity having scored 10 goals in almost 150 appearances for the Brickies. A goal direct from the corner taker is another rarity in the game we all love. However, a goal straight from a corner by the very left-back who has scored 10 goals prior to this game… an absolute collectors item and we love it!
5) That never say die attitude:
That win against Ashford United was the fifth occasion we have come from behind or from a drawing position to gain at least a point in the game with a goal in late exchanges. In fact, the winner in the 75th minute is the earlier we have scored a winner this season, with four goals scored in injury time – three winners and one equaliser.
